Movie Reviews of movies you probably haven’t seen.. but should.

Hello, My Name is Doris

This charming tale of a May/December not quite romance was fun to watch, I was captivated by this quirky bright story. The day dreaming sequences were silly and at times extremely uncomfortable to witness, and left you crawling with embarrassment for Sally Field’s character; Doris. But Doris kept it real for herself anyway and whether it was her age (past giving a rats arse) or just a deep-rooted confidence she bounced back every time.

As the story unfolds you get pieces of Doris, in the end making a complete picture of an eccentric, sweet, and vulnerable woman. The underlying self-motivation mantra (Not impossible but I’m possible) fits in perfect with the ending. Which of course you can trust me to never spoil.

I give this one 4 out of 5 stars..

Cheers!
